Securing Fuzzy Vault Enabled Authentication in Body Area Networks-Based Smart Healthcare

چکیده
The emergence of body area networks (BANs) has paved the way for real-time sensing human biometrics in addition to remote control smart wireless medical devices, which turn are beginning revolutionize healthcare industry. However, due their limited power and computational capabilities, they vulnerable a myriad security attacks. To secure BAN sensors against these threats processor-intensive cryptographic techniques need be avoided as not suitable this context. This article focuses on authentication service proposes an original scheme named “RAFV: Rotational Assisted Fuzzy Vaults” harden any solution using fuzzy vault construction approach. evaluation results have shown that RAFV can successfully conceal secret even if locking elements known adversary. Also, may improve upon communication overhead by enabling reduction size without compromising its security. It achieved all while remaining competitive with regards additional overhead.

Securing fuzzy vault schemes through biometric hashing∗
The fuzzy vault scheme is a well-known technique to mitigate privacy, security, and usability related problems in biometric identification applications. The basic idea is to hide biometric data along with secret information amongst randomly selected chaff points during the enrollment process. Only the owner of the biometric data who presents correct biometrics can recover the secret and identif...
متن کاملFuzzy Clustering Based Routing in Wireless Body Area Networks to Increase the Life of Sensor Nodes
Body area networks is one of the types of wireless area networks which has been created to optimize utilizing hospital resources and for earlier diagnosis of medical symptoms, and ultimately to reduce the cost of medical care. This network like most of the wireless networks is without infrastructure and the embedded sensor nodes in the body have limited energy. Hence, the early power completion...

We consider the applicability of ID-based cryptography to providing security within a Personal Area Network (PAN). An initialisation process appropriate for use within a PAN is proposed, and a detailed comparison between the ID-based approach and a more conventional PKI approach is given.
